I was surprised this year, with an invitation from the President of PARADISE HELICOPTERS.  

My love for KAPALOA FALLS was something I wanted to keep alive, despite severe damages from the devastating earthquake of 2006.  I started by selecting some of the many Hula pictures taken beneath the waterfall.  All the pictures on my website, were captured about a week before the earthquake. Once I had my pictures ready, I took them out to the public.   At one of my many showings, is where I met the president of Paradise Helicopters.   

When I had spoken to him last, KAPOLOA FALLS was just trickling. The livelihood of people below her were sadly affected by this. He kept his promise that he would take me on his helicopter, once she was flowing again.  Before I knew it, I was on one of his birds, flying deep into Pololu Valley. As we approached Kapoloa Falls, it was breathtaking to see her majestic beauty, from the skies, cascading again, in all her glory! 

Unfortunately, the path leading to the Falls, is not assessable. Whether it will ever be open to the public, is still uncertain.
